Hello,
The Fir cluster is currently undergoing unscheduled maintenance to apply kernel security updates. This work requires rebooting compute nodes and cannot be deferred.
What to expect:
- Some running jobs may be killed as nodes are drained and rebooted.
- New job submissions will queue normally and start once nodes return to service.
- Login nodes may be unavailable during the update window.
We expect all work to be complete by 4:00 PM today (Pacific). If your job was interrupted, please resubmit once the cluster is back in production.
We apologize for the short notice and the disruption. Security updates of this severity have to be applied promptly.
We will send a follow-up message once the cluster is fully back in service.
