Planned Compute Outage on Cedar – April 29, 2025
As part of the preparations for bringing new equipment online, a planned outage is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (PDT) to support infrastructure work.
During this window: Cedar compute resources will be unavailable. Jobs can still be submitted, but they will not run until after the outage is complete.
Other Cedar services (e.g., login nodes and storage) are currently expected to remain available. Cedar cloud will remain operational. No action is required, but please plan accordingly for job scheduling.
We recognize that this may cause disruption for those relying on Cedar, but these modifications are necessary to support the installation of the new system, Fir, which will provide even greater capacity and capabilities.
