Scheduled Maintenance Possible Outage: Arbutus - Network Switch Updates
On June 5th 2024, starting at 06:30AM Pacific time, network switches contributing to the Arbutus Cloud's infrastructure will receive firmware updates. These updates will require restarting the switches, producing brief periods of unavailability for connected systems.
Most Arbutus Cloud infrastructure is configured redundantly at either the control plane or network fabric layers, but the switches affected by this set of updates will affect all compute nodes, and as a result there will be a disruption of network traffic to all user VM instances, expected to last up to 30 minutes.
There may also be a period of degraded API performance as the cloud infrastructure re-balances after the updates.
